The Pit always fishes great in June through July. No reason why this river shouldn't be on your fishing list this summer. Expect favorable water conditions over the coming weeks. Anglers are doing best fishing dark colored nymphs (Dark Lords, Black A.P., Black Micro Mayflies) early in the mornings. Look for shade mid day. The early evening fishing has been fair. Not finding much dry fly fishing this week. As we move into summer, expect to dredge the riffles, slots and glides with Rubber Legs and dark #14-18 nymphs for best results.
