The Little Truckee is fishing well but the water is very low and an extremely stealthy approach is required. The fish are responding best to small midge and mayfly imitations fished on ;light 6X or 7X tippets. You must use a very careful approach to consistently catch fish here. Keep your profile low and try not to stomp around too much. The best flies for the Little Truckee are as follows, Zebra Midges 18-22, Two-Tone Hunchback Nymphs 18-20, Copper Johns 18-20, Last Chance BWO Emergers 18-20, E/C Caddis 20, Griffiths Gnat 22, Parachute Adams 18-22, and Hatchmaster BWO's 18-20.
