Lower Sacramento River Fish Report

Sacramento River - Lower - Redding, CA (Shasta County)

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
11-5-2014

Releases out of Keswick Reservoir are 4,628 cfs. Fishing has been great. Water color is off a little, visibility holding at 3 feet. No big deal. King salmon are still on redds and the rainbows are eating orange egg patterns. Steelhead can be found in the river below Anderson River Park. Mostly hatchery produced versions, they are really, really tough to land especially if you get into a fish going over pounds. Besides orange or pink egg patterns, Bead Head Pheasant Tail Nymphs in #16 have been working well.  The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
