Bite is steady, but not spectacular. Water level is dropping and fish are unsettled. Kokanee are 55 to 65 feet, sometimes down to 72 feet. Trout are mixed in with the kokanee. Fish are scattered. Topwater bite for bass is very good. Bait is plentiful and bass are gorging along the shoreline. Start with topwater lures early and later use shallow running crankbaits over the weedline. Go to frogs or buzzbaits in the afternoon. Sweeney’s Sports (707) 255-5544; Don Paganelli (916) 502-3474, www. http://guidebass.net/; Troy Barr (707) 372-7599. www.Fisht-roy.com
