The Kokanee bite is good. The fish are running 16" to 18" with a few 19" coming in. Sling blades in combination with pink or Glow Koke-A-Nuts, Pink or Green Pee Wee's and Orange or Pink Cripplures working best. Pink or Red Scorpion Spinners, and Purple Pink Hum Dingers also working. Troll the Dam and the curtain area 36 to 100 feet deep. Trout bite is good in front of the dam in 24' to 100' of water. Mornings are best.

Shasta LakeThe lake is 100 feet from the top and 75 degrees on the surface. The lake is beginning to turn over. The Trout are biting well from 30' to 90 feet most everywhere. Shasta LakeShasta is 95' down, the surface is 79 degress. The fish have settled in the thermocline and the shad are moving down as well. The fish are on a strong bite as they feed on the abundant shad schools. Fishing on the lake continues to produce Excellent numbers of Trout and Salmon.
