Temperatures this weekend and beyond in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Look for mild breezes and the possibility of some high clouds next week. The bank fishing has been ok during the week, moderate temps and last week's plant improved conditions. The extreme temperatures have subsided so anglers have returned to the banks and the Lake. Most folks are working the banks opposite the EBMUD boathouse and also Rainbow and Blue Herron Points. The anglers working the banks are using Power Bait (eggs or worms) with garlic and glitter. Pistol Pete's and Mouse (mice) Tails, in addition pink Power Worms and night crawlers on a water bobber have been successful lately.

Kokanee fishing continues to be good. The hot spot last week was the mouth of the River and the area between there and the face of the Dam. Kokes have been hanging very deep lately, drop down to the 90' level. The Kokes caught recently are in the 10 to 14 inch range and are bright and chubby. Some boaters have been tying of in the coves near the River mouth and bait fishing off the back of the boats and doing quite well. Trollers continue to use Uncle Larry's copper pops and pinkie along with wedding rings, apex and sling blades behind silver/gold or watermelon dodgers. Check at the Marina for all your fishing supplies, snacks, updated fishing information and hot spots.

Recent success stories: No photos available for this report, be sure and stop by the Marina to weigh and record your catch for inclusion in the weekly report.

Look for catfish in the River arm and the southern coves, sounds like they have begun to move into the coves that are warming up from Mel's cove to Rattlesnake. Chicken livers Power Bait and night crawlers are the baits of choice.

Water level has risen to 2 to 4 feet from spillway and is holding steady. Water temperature is 64 degrees at 20 feet and 68 degrees at surface as measured in the Marina. Water clarity is good to 17' plus in the Marina.

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted a total of 25,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout as of this report.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has also planted 2,000 lbs. of Trout to date for a grand total of 27,000 lbs.
