Temperatures in the high 80's low 90's for the weekend with the possibility of some showers starting Tuesday.

There were more anglers visible along the banks this morning. Saw a couple caught while at the Marina earlier today. During the week most worked the banks opposite the EBMUD boathouse and also Rainbow and Blue Herron Points. The anglers working the banks are using Power Bait (eggs or worms) with garlic and glitter. Pistol Pete's and Mouse (mice) Tails, in addition pink Power Worms and night crawlers on a water bobber have been successful lately.

Trollers have shifted to the face of the dam and that vicinity, fishing for Trout and Kokanee has been very good there lately. The lures and equipment are still the same but depths have changed. Kokanee have been plentiful, most if not all in the 10 to12 inch range and Trout are showing up again in better numbers. Both species have been congregating at the 35 foot level between the Dam and the orange buoy. Uncle Larry's copper pops and pinkie along with apex and sling blades behind silver/gold or watermelon dodgers. Check at the Marina for all your fishing supplies, snacks, updated fishing information and hot spots.

Look for catfish in the River arm and the southern coves, sounds like they have begun to move into the coves that are warming up from Mel's cove to Rattlesnake. Chicken livers Power Bait and night crawlers are the baits of choice.

Water level has risen to 2 to 4 feet from spillway and is holding steady. Water temperature is 64 degrees at 20 feet and 68 degrees at surface as measured in the Marina. Water clarity is good to 17' plus in the Marina.

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted a total of 23,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout as of this report. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has also planted 2,000 lbs. of Trout to date for a grand total of 25,000 lbs.
