New Melones lake is the place to put the kokanee in your boat. Most of the koks went from 12 to 13" last week and they are fat and healthy. The surface temp. went above 70 and the koks are going deeper, we put most of our fish in the boat going down to 62 to 72' and we even got a few down to 82'. Uncle Larry's Sierra Spray in gold and pink, Glitter Bugs micro hoochies and tube bugs in pink and Anglers Market Kokanee Bugs in orange with Glitter Bugs chrome tear drop blades put fish in the boat last week. Kokanee are spread out all over the lake, we fished the north part of the lake, the south, Coyote cove and the main part of the lake around the dam and Rose Island and landed kokanee in them all.
