Park Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Last Plant: January 1, 1,000 lbs. of Mt. Lassen Trout were planted. On January 10, 2013 750 lbs.of Mt. Lassen Trout were planted.
Water Temperature: 44 degrees and stained in the upper sections

The lake is still up but the south end was still lake chocolate milk, but it seems to have gotten better. Anglers have had better luck trolling in the Narrows, the coves or the bays. The best bait has been Fire Tiger J5 Rapalas, buck-tail Panther Martins or 1/2 oz. Kastmasters. If you find a clear spot you should be able to pull in Trout or Catfish. The best baits have been worms, egg/worm combos and PowerBait for the trout and anchovies or stinkbait for the kitties.

Last week a 15 lb. Striper was caught on chicken liver at the upper narrows. The Stripers have also been hitting swimbait. This week we expect things to pick up quite a bit since the water is getting clearer.
