LAKE NEWS
Kokanee will be making a return to Lake Camanche in 2013. This will be the first time kokanee has been planted in the lake since 1996. The kokanee will be coming from the Friant Nursery in Fresno some time after the first of the year. Keep posted for more details.

FISH PLANTS
Kokanee will be making a return to Lake Camanche in 2013. This will be the first time kokanee We had our first fish plant of the season on Nov. 1st with 2400 lbs to the North shore ramp and 1200 lbs to the South shore ramp plus 100 individual tagged fish of varying weights. Next plant is scheduled for Nov. 12th.

FISHING REPORT
We had a couple more tagged trout left over from our derby that were caught this last week. Shaun Williams caught tagged fish #035 on Nov 8th and Eric Van Zant caught tagged fish #054 on Nov 11th. Both anglers were given a complimentary certificate good for a one night cottage stay. Congratulations to them both for their catches.

Anglers have reported catching limits and lots of catch and releases while trolling near Hat Island and near the causeway using primarily power baits of various colors and night crawlers in about 10 ft of water. Planter fish tend to stay closer to the surface and near the shorelines while holdover fish (from last year) are still in deeper water (about 40ft +\-).

Last year the lake turned over on Nov 15th but the lake has not turned over yet this year but it is getting close.

Catfish are still being caught as shown by George Nakawatase with his 2 catches this week weighing in at 2.85 lbs & 6.30 lbs while fishing in the North shore marina cove using chicken liver as bait.
