Change in the weather, cooler temperatures lately with the possibility of some showers early next week.

The water level may have dropped a foot or so and is about three or four feet below spill and fluctuating a bit. Visibility remains good, presently good to 15 feet plus at the Marina. Water temperatures will drop somewhat due to cooler trends. Presently temps are 65 degrees at the 20 foot mark and 67 at surface at the Marina.

Trollers were having a tougher time last week working the areas around Twin Coves, Deer Island, Indian Head Rock, and Columbia Gulch. Not many Kokanee caught, most if not all Kokanee have begun to turn, and they are developing the hooked jaws and red coloration. The Trout have become illusive and are not congregating in any one location. Try along the barrel line and in front of the spillway; look for them at 40 to 60 feet. The hot lures for Trout continue to be Thomas buoyant lures in gold/red, rainbow and fire tiger 18 inches behind flashers sling blades or dodgers tipped with a crawler. Uncle Larry's glow pink fire tiger, copper popsicles and desert fire lures along with Apex lures in all colors some tipped with scented corn or a piece of crawler behind a medium silver/blue or watermelon Sep's or Lance's dodger.

Bank anglers have also been scarce but the Woodpile and Rainbow Point deserve a try. Cast out about 30 feet from the bank at Rainbow and put your bait in the deeper channel that runs from the Launch Ramp out towards the Narrows-worth a try. White Power bait continues to be hot ticket for Trout, chicken livers for cats.

Bass fishing continues to be good up stream in the River arm and around the coves near the River inlet. The Marina is now stocking Yamamoto slim sinkos and Robo worms in all the popular colors, pair these with a drop shot weight and hold on!

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted a total of 33,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout in combination with the Department of Fish and Game plants of 5,000 for a grand total of 38,000 lbs.
