The Sacramento River Striper fishing has slowed down a bit. I had a group of guys out Striper fishing in the Colusa area last week. We were power trolling Minnows down river they hooked about 20 Stripers but only managed to land 11 of them with most being legal size fish over 18 inches.

The Wild Rainbow Trout fishing is great and will get even better now that the river flows have increased to 10,000cfs..Bruce was in town the other day for a Trout fishing trip and hooked up about 15 Rainbow Trout in a 4 hour trip and landed half of them. What're they biting on, Fly's, Bugs and Plugs.

The Shad fishing has started getting good and the bite will get even better as it warms up this summer. They are biting Green grubs with a pink head.

The Sacramento River Salmon fishing season and 2 fish limit is the same as last year. The projected Salmon returns this year are almost twice that of last year. Salmon fishing this year is going to be great. Book you're Salmon fishing trip early for the best day possible.
