Sacramento River

Sacramento River - CA

Anglers continue to have a phenomenal salmon season on the Sacramento River, reported local guide Kevin Brock. "There are lots of fish to be caught, and this rain should bring in the biggest salmon of the year", said Brock. "We got limits of salmon over the weekend; launching at Irvine Finch and going upstream. "Most of the salmon are running in the 10 to 12-pound range, and our largest of the week was 34 pounds. We are still getting all of our fish on cured roe, dragged downstream 'boondogging' style."

Brock noted, "The weekend was pretty crowded, but there was almost nobody on the river during the week."
