Lake Pardee will be open on Friday, February 18, 2011. Anglers can now enjoy a shift in the long-standing Pardee season and take advantage of a later annual opener along with a later annual close of November 6th. Join us for our President's Day opening. The park will open to campers on Thursday the 17th with fishing beginning the morning of Friday the 18th. To enhance the opening weekend fishing experience, 4,800 lbs of rainbow trout will be planted into Pardee on February 18th and 19th. These special trout were raised at the Mokelumne River Fish Hatchery below Camanche Dam. Another ?2,000 lbs of rainbow trout from the Calaveras Trout Farm will be planted on Saturday the 19th followed by another 5,000 lbs on Thursday and Friday of the following week. With nearly 12,000 lbs of rainbows planted in one week, fishing will be outstanding.

The lake level looks to be 4 to 5 feet below spill; ebmud maintains that lake level will remain unchanged. Current water temperatures are 64 degrees at 20 feet and 69 at surface; look for these temps to continue throughout the weekend. Water clarity is good to 16 feet.
