Shasta Lake piggy trout continue feed like crazy on the massive bait schools all over the lake. These fish are growing daily. Yesterday, Dave an his son Ben caught 3 to 6 pound Brown and Rainbow trout.

These hard fighting great eating fish put up drag ripping battles and are an absolute blast to catch. Trolling shad imitation plugs has been my go too for these pigs. Pro-Cure Bait Scents like anchovy and threadfin shad gels have been the best for me. Trolling depths have been 70 to 120 feet at 1.8 to 3 mph in the deep river channel have been the hit areas of the lake to fish.
