Lake Sisikyou was in full bloom yesterday. My clients and I had wonderful time catching and releasing brown amd rainbow trout. We'll did keep a couple for Bbq.
You can't ever go wrong with a double digit day on the water and Lake Siskiyou more often than not provides that type of action. Yesterday's was no exception. We trolled stick baits just under the surface for most of our trout. The lone brown trout was caught around 45 feet. We caught fish all over the lake and if you have fished with me then you understand that the lake is small and we often circle the whole lake a few times throughtout the day.
Pink was the hot color, I tried other methods but trolling fast around 2.5 to 3.5 mph with the stick baits was what got the trout to bite. We caught fish up to 2.5 pounds. We had quite a few fish hit hard but they didn't stick. That's fishing, but the action was great. Weather couldn't have been much better except for the crazy winds at times, but that didnt hinder the fishing.
Now is the time to get up here and fish with me, there is very little traffic and the temps have warmed up. Check out the pictures then give me a call 530 905 0758 or book online at Caldwellfishing.com
