The first month of the recreational dungeness crab season is in the books, and it's been pretty darn good. Opening day was a little tough with around 6 crab per person and around half limits of rockfish, but it's been limits or close to limits most days after that. Over 2500 crab have been landed for just over 290 people, and good numbers of rockfish have been caught, too. We will continue to offer crab combo trips through the end of the year, but we have a couple of other trips we've put on the books:
We will be running Deep Water Rockfishing trips on Tuesdays. These trips will concentrate on catching the quality rockfish available offshore in deeper depths (300 feet +/-). Bring out your heavy tackle or pick up what you need when you arrive. Trips depart at 7am, return by 3pm or sooner if we obtain boat limits, and the fare is $170 per person.
We're offering more of the popular 1/2 day local rockfishing trips on Thursdays. These trips don't leave until 10am (we all get to sleep in a bit!) and will return by 3pm or sooner if we obtain boat limits, and the fare is $95 per person.
For those who want crab only, we have Crab Only trips available on Fridays. These trips will only be targeting crab, no rockfish. They leave by 8am and return by 3pm or sooner if/when we land 10 crab per person, and the fare is $195.
You can book these trips online on our "Book Online" tab on our website, or by calling our shop between 8am and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Hope you take advantage of these specials and see you soon!
