The unsettled weather that we had slowed down the Trout bite. They weren't biting hard and there was not a lot of boats out there. This coming week will be spectacular with temperatures up to 80 degrees. Between the Club Bass Tournaments and the die-hard fishermen, several 2- 2 1/2# Spotted Bass were caught! Favorite technique is drop-shotting, worming and grubs on lead-heads. Next week I have two trips planned: Wed- Trout fishing with Ben(Fish'in Comfort- 530-238-9789, Cell# 530-949-4303 ) and Thursday- Bass fishing. I'm excited about targeting some BIG FISH! If you're thinking about fishing the Derby, act now because it's almost filled! Shasta LakeWe had another Kodak moment! Ben and "Net Boy"(me) hit the McCloud at 7:00AM trolling watermelon, yellow & orange, and silver & black lures at 25-35 feet. Ben hooked up within 5 minutes and Net Boy landed a 4# Brown Trout! It was in 25 feet of water in a deep pool, 20 yards off the rock walls.
