Rainy weather kept most aqueduct anglers home

Rainy weather kept most aqueduct anglers home, but a few savvy anglers used the cloud cover to hunt for striped bass. Cut baits were the best way to entice bites. Chicken liver and lures also fooled line-sides. Pearl white Flukes with a chartreuse dipped tail worked when bounced along the bottom, and jerkbaits in Aurora Black and white took fish after check gates. Catfish anglers used chicken liver, fresh shrimp, and cut baits to catch whisker fish, and there were few reports from bass anglers. At this time of year largemouth anglers frequently use finesse baits or Senkos in Green Pumpkin to fool aqueduct bass.
