Stripers are in lower river up to Hwy 80/Cal-Expo area now. Shad should be at the mouth of the American now too. A boat would be best for Stripers and Shad now. Halfpounder Steelhead and Spring-run Adults are scattered through the river. All riffles above Sunrise Bridge are probably best bet. Keep moving till you find some. They are eating caddis and salmon fry. AM and PM best. Be sure to get a new 2007 fishing license, Delta Enhancement stamp and Steelhead punch card.
