The lake fell to 85 percent of capacity, and the water is clearing up. Anglers’ reports are few and far between, but spotted bass have started to bite finesse baits. We’ll report back as soon as we get more information.

Castaic Lake: The lake held near 56 percent of capacity, and water conditions continue to be poor
Pyramid Lake, CA: The lake level held at 86 percent of capacity, and water conditions continue to improve
Lake Isabella: This week Isabella increased to 22 percent capacity and continues to rise
Kern River: The Upper Kern trout fishing remains one of the best bet
Lake Kaweah: The water level fell to 15 percent of capacity, and bass anglers reported an improved bite
Lake Success: Lake Success fell to 26 percent of capacity, and fishing remains fair due to poor water conditions
River Walk Lakes: The holdover trout from the Firefighter fishing derby were biting this week
