The first week of the 2022 Sacramento River King salmon season above Red Bluff has been bittersweet.  The first day of the season was great and there were a lot of salmon caught on Monday in the Barge Hole.  Since then, we seem to be seeing some pulse flows from the dams and the water temps are definitely up and down.  The last two days have been really tough, but salmon are being caught here in the upper river.  We have a long season ahead and things wll definitely pick up in the days and weeks ahead.  Big schools of salmon have been reported moving through the lower river so we should be seeing them soon!  September and October will provide the best action but the brightest salmon of the season will be caught this month into early Sepember.  Please call Jaynie at (530) 510-2925 for more information and available dates!  Thank you.
