Plenty of spotted bass are available on Lake Oroville, reported Fil Torres at Oroville Outdoors. "Lots of slot-size bass with a few overs up to three pounds are being caught", noted Torres. "A pair of skilled anglers can easily release 30 or more bass in a day right now.

"Best bet are plastics rigged dropshot, darthead or shaky-head style, fished at 20 to 40 feet. Good colors are morning dawn, warmouth, and red tones. Fish are holding in both the main lake and up in the arms near creek channels."

Torres tipped, "It's a good idea to call the Lake Oroville conditions number [534-2307] and the launch ramp conditions number [538-2200] before heading out."
