Winter storms have interrupted our late fall King salmon fishing this week with cold, wet, and windy conditions.  The forecast model for Sac River levels in the Anderson area have been a bit off, and we're not seeing as much rain as predicted.  We anticipated a blow out this week, but unless we see a lot more rain in the next few days, the Sacramento River should remain fishable through the holiday season.  We see a lot of people coming to the area for the Christmas holiday season.  We anticipate some last minute calls again this year, and fortunately, we have a few days available for King salmon fishing.  There are plenty of fresh Kings in our area and we're seeing at least a few take downs on most of our trips.  We typically offer salmon/steelhead combo trips late in the fall season, but our hatchery steelhead return has been poor so far this year.  We're still up to chasing steelhead, but we're recommending staying on the salmon most days.  There are some really big Kings rolling in the areas we're fishing and its possible to catch a fish of a lifetime, especially in this day and age. Just a few weeks left, so now is your chance to get a trip booked before the King salmon season closes for the year.  Call Jaynie at (530) 510-2925 for more info.  Thank you!
