What a great first week of salmon fishing on the Sacramento and Feather rivers. This salmon season opened strong with great quality king salmon coming in on both the Sacramento River below Red Bluff and over on the Feather River below the Outlet hole. Both boat and bank fishermen scored on kings up to 24 pounds with a sardine wrapped old style kwikfish producing best. Over on the Sacramento River both roe and kwikfish are producing daily. The salmon season is now open at all boat launches and will remain open until December 31st. The Feather River will remain open through October 31st. If you are ready to get out and get some of your own hard fighting king salmon give salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs a call at (530)646-9110 or visit www.sacramentofishing.com
