Lake is almost totally open water. Able to drive to end of lake. Fly fishing at the top end of lake with leech and zebra midges with sinking line producing fish.

Fishing should be good now through February. John Pato ice fishing derby is February 1st with a twenty dollar entry fee. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and third place with lots of raffle prizes. Ice is around 5 – 6 inches thick. Recently a 5lb rainbow was caught around the dam area using crawlers. Never go out on ice alone and I bring a rope when ice fishing.
