The Steely/trout bite on the Klamath has been improving daily as the river river drops back to normal.

Big fish release of the day VIDEO

Last week the Klamath was raised twice doubling the flow and slowing the bite way down. The flow has been dropping back to normal currently it is 1310 and normal is 950 to 1000cfs. The last couple days we have seen the action begin to return to normal. Yesterday, we double digit tale downs on the maglip and crawdad plug we landed 7 of them.

We are seeing a mix of spawning fish and post spawning fish. The spawned put Male fish are getting hungry and smashing baits. Fishing will continue to improve as everything returns to normal.

I am booking for March forward so give me a call 530 905 0758 and let's talk about Lake and river options. You can also book online at Caldwellfishing.com
