Captain Justin Thompson fished the Sacramento River for King salmon again today and fought the wind all day.  It was a grind, but he managed to get his clients on some salmon today dragging Fire Cure eggs below Battle Creek for most of the day.  The Barge Hole below Battle Creek is seeing new fish every day, but with dropping flows and especially high winds, getting bites takes some work.  All indicators point towards more salmon making their way up river and we should continue to see fish move into the areas we are fishing.  The pressure has been light and there has been a lot more room in the deep holes where we fish.

Jeff Goodwin is a full time Northern California fishing guide.  He guides year round for salmon, trout, steelhead, Kokanee, and bass on Northern California rivers and lakes. He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year.
