Today we fished the Sacramento River with mixed results.  The roe bite was ok, and Justins plug bite was pretty good!  Overall we came in with (6) nice King salmon for todays clients, all of which cut very well!  We caught fish, but there was very little salmon activity and I may have seen one or two salmon jump all day.  They're just not stacking up and they continue to blow through the system most days of the week.  The best part of this years run of salmon so far is their average size.  We've seen lots of salmon over 20 lbs and lots of sub 20's as well.  We should see an increase in numbers by next week.  If not, its anybodys guess when we'll see the first big wave of fish to enter the river.  Until then, we'll keep working hard for our fish and hope for better fishing very soon!
