Today we had two boats on the lower Sacramento River fishing for King salmon.  Captain Justin Thompson fished a party of three and Captain Kenny Turner finished up a three day trip with his party of three.  Light boat traffic made for a peaceful day and 3 beautiful Kings were landed by our clients.  The numbers in the river are a bit on the light side, but just about all the Kings are very bright right now.  Most of the bites are coming on roe later in the morning.  The Kings are moving through the system quickly and the numbers of salmon from hole to hole will vary daily.  We're expecting to see a bigger push of salmon any hour now.  Its that close to blowing wide open.
