Koakanee fishing here remains great for trollers! They can be found in 30-45 feet of water and are best fished from first light until about 10-11 o’clock. They can be found just about anywhere in the lake but are most consistent near the island and where the little truckee and sagehen creek inlet meet the main body of the lake. Shore fishing for trout will be best in the mornings and this can be some of the better fishing in the area due to its size and quantity of fish. 99% of cap.

RECOMMENDED GEAR:

Kokanee: Hoochies, Wedding rings, cripplures, humdingers, kok-a-nuts with dodgers in pink, green or purple.
Trout: flashers and worms, needlefish, rapalas, Lymans Plugs, Shallow Glass Spinners.
