Fish with the legendary Don Brockman and Cpt. Norris The Cat Tapp and long-time "regulars" from the "Freelance" and others. The group has had a lot of fun, in addition to "getting the job done at the rail". This is our 14th consecutive, annual trip between the "Islander" and "Independence". The trips have all been outstanding. Both Mark Paesano and Paul Strasser have been on the boat for most of these trips and with the combined effort and expertise of the 2 of them, we've come away with LOTS O' FISH!

8-17-2008The Freelance continues to find the Dorado on the Kelps in Orange County waters. Depending on the day some of the Kelps have been holding large amounts of fish, including some Yellowtail. There have also been some Yellow Fin Tuna in local waters but they have not really wanted to play much but the full moon may change that. YELLOWTAIL on the 1/2 -DAY "WESTERN PRIDE" DORADO ON THE 3/4-DAY "FREELANCE" COME ON DOWN !!!!!!!!!! Today, Tuesday, the "Western Pride" scored YELLOWTAIL (first appearance of the season) on both the morning and afternoon 1/2-Day trips today to compliment the good BONITO catch; yes, that's right, the BONITO have shown up here on the coast again, and they're the "medium-sized" models, 2-4 lbs, that fill up the bags very quickly (if you can get them to the boat).
