Yes, its smokey on Shasta, and yes its on fire, but for my die hard clients, its still the same good fishing!  The smoke in the morning is relentless, but as the day wears on, we get a shift in the wind and it clears out a lot of the smoke.  Fishing is still pretty good and we are getting into some great rainbow and brown trout.  The trout dont bite as good in the dark smokey conditions, but its still worthwhile time on the water, if 19 fish in the cooler is considered worthwhile.  With the banks of the lake still on fire, it doesnt look good for clear skies anytime soon.  Im going to keep fishing Shasta as long as my clients are wanting or willing to fish.  With that being said, some of my days have cancelled so I do have openings for those of you who still want to get in on this quality fishing while it lasts.
