GENERAL CONDITIONS

DFW has been cracking down on the illegal 3 pole fisherman and the illegal take of stripers off the pier.

Water temperature is sitting in the mid-50s with the weather having been cold and raining with occasional sun. There are no construction updates at this time.

Fishing pressure has been pretty average on the pier for this time of year.

Please note that there is a submerged boat in the water near the beginning of the pier.

Reminder to boaters: Seas have been rough due to high winds.

Pier retrofit is complete, with all new benches, windscreens and cleaning station.

STRIPED BASS

Stripers are being caught with a few park users taking home limits. Fish size ranges from shakers to 32 inches.

OTHER SPECIES

A large ray was caught on squid and some undersized sharks are being caught during the day. No reports of sturgeon or crappie being caught at this time.
