Today we fished Trinity Lake near the dam.  I ran deep rods for salmon and rods up on the surface for trout.  The salmon bite never turned on, but we easily hooked over 20 rainbows!  No real size to the trout and most were the hatchery planters.  I trolled Arctic Fox flies primarily and also ran some spoons and diving baits.  The Atcric Fox flies were on fire today and hooked the majority of the fish.  Shad and Kokanee colors were the hot flies and same colors on the spoons.  Water temps were a steady 48 degrees from the top down to 120' feet.  Overall a great day, but finding some bigger fish is gonna be a priority on the next trip up to Trinity Lake.
