Water temp has dropped into the low 50’s and the mornings are cold, frosty and slow. Fish are not really biting until the sun hits the water. Power bait and worms are working the best. Mt. Lassen planted 750 lbs of trout at the public launch on the 12th. I don't know why we aren’t getting DFG trout plants but I’m going to look into it.

Featured anglers of the week:

Willie Peterson of San Jose caught a 5 lb trout on Garlic Power bait from the East Beach
James Aeney of San Jose caught a 3.2 lb trout on Garlic Power Bait from the East Beach
Paul of San Jose caught a nice 9 lb trout on a jig in the narrows
Ricky Garcia of Livermore caught 3 trout on power bait from the East beach Stephen Tsun of Cuppertino caught 3 trout on Power bait from the East Beach
