Turkey week has been a great time on the Klamath river. We are seeing some nice adult Steelhead in the 16 to 24 inch class weighing up to 6 pounds. My client fished with me on Friday and Saturday and had good success with the crawdad and rapala plugs. He landed many fish, the biggest being a nice 22-inch 5 pound buck, while backtrolling a rebel crawdad plug, on his 4 pound ulta-light rod an reel. Today, Conner Dad and I got out for a couple of hours, late in the afternoon, and between the two of them, they landed 12 fish. Half of the Steely Trout were adults, the biggest being a nice hen, in the 3 pound class. All the the fish were caught while backtrolling a Luhr Jensen jet diver with a threaded nightcrawler trailer.
