Boats at anchor are drop-shotting with pink or champagne colored grubs to score on 25-fish limits from about 5 p.m. to dusk, especially on the upper end between Sunrise and Sailor Bar. The hooter the river the hotter the fishing has been. Week days are better than weekends due to the activation the river on weekends.

Striped bass fishing has slowed down with most heading downstream into the salty waters of the bay.
