Fished Sonora bass anglers tournament on Don Pedro Saturday. Water temps were 51-54 and water was stained. With lake level still on the the rise the bite remains tuff but is improving with the warming trend. My partner and I started in middle bay fishing island tops with tubes and jigs. We pulled a quick limit in 10-20 foot range by 7:30 for 7lbs of all spots. By 8 o’clock we made a run up river towards moccasin and worked vertical walls. Around 10:30 the bite picked up on the drop shot and we boated two 3lbers. We continued to grind it out working main lake points back towards main lake focussing on throwing swim baits. With 15 minutes before weigh in I finally stuck one. Unfortunately it wasn’t giant, weighing in at 3.88 it was still a welcomed cull. When all was said and done 1st place went to the team of Taylor/Taylor with 14.14. They reported catching their fish on jigs and tubes. My partner and I, team Parris/Payne took 2nd at an even 14lbs. 3rd place team Freeman/Freeman had 11.30, hope this helps and good luck out there!
