Low and clear on Upper Sac

Sacramento River - Upper - Siskiyou, CA (Siskiyou County)

by The Fly Shop

Water conditions are low and clear. Good baetis hatches on the rainy days recently. Anglers getting on the water early and then again near sunset are doing best. Dry dropper rigs are the ticket. Try a Stimulator and a black Zebra Midge dropper. Fishing nymphs under a brushy dry fly (.. like Oct. Caddis) or high-sticking the riffles and bubbly water has been the most productive fishing methods this week. The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555; Ted Fay Fly Shop (530) 235-2969
