Trout fishing
We planted 1,200 pounds of Mt Lassen Trout on Tuesday 9-30-15 at the boat launch.

Catfish fishing
The Catfish bite has increased with the warmer weather. Catfish bite on night-crawlers, chicken livers, anchovies, and baits that are stinky fish on the bottom.

Crappie fishing
The crappie bite is on and the best locations are down the middle of scow canyon and at the boat launch area.

Fish Tales

Gregory no last name given from Vallejo caught a 6.73 lb catfish fishing at the main rec on Tuesday 10-6- 15 using chicken livers.

Giselle Garcia of Fairfield caught a 5.77 lb trout using power-bait at the boat launch on Tuesday 10-6-15

Phil Robinson and Friends of Oakland caught a 3 lb trout fishing in scow canyon using powerbait on Sunday 10-11-15.

Hasen Le and family caught a 8.3 lb catfish while fishing off a boat using anchovies on Sunday 10-11-15.

Park Information
The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during October being 6:30 am to 6:00 pm and boats needing to be off the water by 5:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is also open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 — 3:30 so visitors can get some delicious food.
