Winds hamper Eagle Lake angling

The lake has fished tough to fair the last few days for the average angler and some of that depends on how long you can spend on the water. Winds have come up quickly the last few days & getting back to the dock safely becomes your priority. This morning, the south basin fish were a little sluggish but we still found them at 5-7ft deep and at 15ft deep & started just north of Eagles Nest & worked Black Mt and Miners Pt buoys & rock piles. www.eaglelakefishing.net

Watch out for the trout that were planted last week at the low water ramp. It will take a little while for these shakers to move out from the shoreline and ramp area. So for this weekend, head east or west rather than right out from the ramp or Pikes Pt before dropping your lines in the water.
