Look at these three WHOPPERS OF THE WEEK! Featuring Croix Baio of Auburn with his 13 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow, caught trolling a lure, he's not giving up his secret lure just yet! Jim Hunsaker of Antelope also with a 10 lb. 8 oz. trout which he caught on a Kastmaster in Elmer's Cove. Gabe & Tai from Alameda with their 14 lb. 12 oz. Catfish caught from shore in front of their campsite on PowerBait.

Today we are getting a trophy trout plant with tags and yesterday we released another net pen full of trout. Lana Herrington just emailed her photo of her 2 lb. 8 oz. trout catch with a GREEN TAG! She was fishing with pink Powerbait from shore by the dam. Carrie Deterding of Carmichael netted a beautiful 6 lb. trout which she caught on an Apex Lure and flashers while trolling.

Nancy Stapp & Anthony Crawford knocked em' dead again this week, with Nancy hooking the biggest on their stringer, a gorgeous 6 lb. trout along with nine other trout (2 limits total).....Their favorite trolling lure is a Rapala. Little Miles Hansard from Brownsville had a very successful fishing trip with his Dad, it was Miles 1st Fishing Trip and together they hooked 8 trout!

Another Brownsville family including John & Kim and two little girls Kylah & Hailey LIMITED OUT (20 fish total) just fishing by the dam on the shoreline with PowerBait. Steve & Wyatt from Petaluma hooked & netted a 5 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow trout trolling a Kastmaster by the dam. Liam Hurley & Alex Freeman each caught trout on orange Powerbait near their campsite in the Open Area.

Cameron Castro of Citrus Heights was looking real happy with his two trout over two pounds caught on PowerBait. Avery Larson from Lincoln caught a trout along with 4 Bass trolling Rapalas. Ron Helget from Dixon limited out on BASS and he was tossing rubber worms (pumpkin colored) near the dam. Kathy & Tammy fished near the powerlines trolling Rapalas and took five nice trout home. Alan Anderson of Ukiah trolled a Wedding Ring Spinner and lucked into a nice 6 lb. Rainbow. Morris Ball of Grass Valley wraps up this week of fantastic fish with his 6 lb. 12 oz. Rainbow, he caught it on a Rapala trolling in the north end towards the bridge.

This week on Tuesday we received a double trophy trout plant which of course also includes a percentage of "catchables" or pan size. I'm seeing equal amounts of trout limits that were caught from shore as well as boats. PowerBait or worms are the number one bait choices from shore. This week the first of our net pens was released with approx. 1,000 pounds of trout average size (2-1/2 lbs.) Next week will be another large private plant with half of the load considered catchables and the other half closer to trophy size.
