We know this time of year is great for trout fishing especially from shore, but Dave Callison and Kevin Donovan from Yuba City kicked it on BASS this week. They each kept a limit but caught and released many more, using plastics along the shore all over the east bank and up towards the bridge and their biggest Bass was 3 lb. 12 oz.

Andrew Hernandez from Gridley was tossing a spinner up near the bridge when he hooked into his 4 lb. 8 oz. monster trout. Alyssa & Hailey also caught two huge 4 lb. 8 oz. trout but from the shoreline near the launch using pink or green PowerBait.

Quade, Wes, & Chris Lobo from Oroville caught a good sized stringer of trout from shore along the Open Area shoreline on New Year's Day using PowerBait. Little Linzie from Vacaville threw a crawdad along the shore and hooked a 3 lb. 6 oz. Rainbow.

Katy & Jack Sannar of Yuba City fished the shoreline off the sandy beach using PowerEggs. They caught three trout and two of them were darn near 5 lbs. apiece!! Keanu from here in Browns Valley fished with worms from shore and netted a trout. Eric Phillips from Grass Valley also caught a trout by the dam from shore on PowerBait.
