Sportfishingreport.com recently teamed up with Captain Pat Cavanaugh and the Pacific Dawn for one finally outer island overnight trip before the Dawn heads to San Diego for their summer offshore season. The fishing has been great at the outer Channel Islands and this trip didn't disappoint as 11 quality California halibut up to 34 pounds hit the decks in the morning hours. Full limits of quality outer island rockfish filled out the sacks in the next couple of hours before we called it a trip and headed back for port.
