Hi everyone, the much needed rain has brought the lake levels up and also the larger bass. The last few weeks the lakes have come up several feet with Oroville Lake up 38 feet and the bite has been awesome. Bullards Bar has been great with many 6 lb and up being caught. Collins lake is another lake that has been fishing well with nice 4 to 6 lb bass with the potential of much bigger bass in the next few weeks. Clear lake is still producing many big bass.

Lake Oroville is now 160 feet from the top but it is rising about a foot per day currently. The water temp on the lake is from the upper 40's to low to mid 50's. Water conditions are perfect for the bass to start their spawning and we have seen it already. We have been getting many shallow bass as well as bass down to 30 feet. 20 feet still seems to be the average depth.

Bass are being taken on a variety of baits from Persuader Bait spinner Baits in the in coming water along with some swim baits, Worms, senkos, tubes and drop- shots are taking bass on walls , points and flats. Paradise Tackle jigs and finesse jigs have also been very productive.

On the photos , we have Joe Furr with a couple of Oroville beauties, Joe Gandolfi with a couple and one vice spot from Collins Lake, Then we have Terry and Cheryl Hope with a great catch and then Mark and his Dad Brian Gangler with a group of 2 and 3 lb bass on Oroville..

Oroville is fishing hot as well the other lakes mentioned. I am booking now for April and May. I have a few days open for March. If you want a weekend day you will need to book soon. The week days I will have have more available for you. Give me a call or email me it is a great year for some great fishing.

Hello everyone, I hope this fishing report finds you all well . As you all know we are low on water this year but hopefully this rain will star a trend and begin to fill our lakes back up. Lake Oroville is now at 199 feet from the top and is filling very slightly at the moment. As I have heard, they want to hold the lake level a tad higher if we don't get much more...... Read More
