Delta fishing report for June. Fishing is pretty good across the delta. Now is the time to go out there and catch them any way you would like. Most fish are in post spawn mode and are feeding in areas with current. Cranking riprap walls with a red ima squarebill has been working well. Make sure you cast upstream and pull the crank bait with the current since the fish are faced upstream waiting for food. Throwing frogs in and around the tules have been producing nice fish.

Best Bass Tournaments held a recent tourney on Saturday June 8th out of Tracy oasis. Winning bag was just over 20lbs. The winner said he spent most of the tournament throwing chatter baits and punching outside clumps of grass. Water temp is roughly around 72 degrees in the morning and warming to 76 degrees by the end of the day. Now is a great time to try new techniques since the fish are feeding. If you are fishing a tournament please remember to keep those live wells running and bring ice to keep the water cool. Also don't forget to Set The Hook!
