Fellow Sportsmen,

Well fishermen things have changed a little since the last report. Believe it or not we are starting to see some large halibut. Not a lot of halibut but big ones. I had 4 days in a row were on the way out to fish the ocean we stopped and finished the last hour of the incoming tide at either Alcatraz or Angel Island. We picked up halibut that from 12 pounds to 33 pounds. Jeorge had her limit of halibut by 9:15 AM just a couple of days ago. We were right in front of Alcatraz on the west side fishing the last hour of the incoming tide. She drifted live anchovies for a 16, 18, and 20 pound halibut. That's a 54 pound limit by 9:15 AM. The rock fishing up the coast continues to be great if you fish the turn of the tide. Again we are using live anchovies. On the last trip we were 2 short of limits on Ling Cod. We also had all the rock fish we needed, releasing the small ones. I love those barbless circle hooks! Salmon is on and off but there are nice fish out there. We fish the coast waiting for the Salmon bite to go off. I have posted a lot of the halibut dated photos on my web sight photo page. Enjoy the photos!
