Legendary Gull Lake Marina; located in the picturesque June Lake Loop, together with Alpers Trout LLC, have entered into a two-year agreement to ensure the continuous stocking of trophy-sized Alper's trout. The agreement provides the advanced funding to Alpers Trout, of THIRTHY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. "We have long enjoyed a great relationship with Gull Lake, and we are very pleased to have entered into this newest agreement," said Tim Alpers. "The monies made will be used to enhance trout rearing operations, and this will be a benefit to all of our customers," said Tim. It helps a farmer as well as a rancher to know how much to plant or raise in advance of the need, and Gull Lake's advance commitment to us allows us to operate more efficiently." Gary Cino, of Gull Lake Marina, said, "During the past eight years of operating Gull Lake Marina, we have come to know how much our customers enjoy catching trophy-sized Alper's trout." Over the years, Gull Lake has continuously supplemented the state and county stocking programs with additional purchases from Alpers Trout. "Many of our customers tell us that they come to Gull Lake knowing that they have a great chance to catch an Alpers' Trout," said Dan Mckernan, Marina Manager. The average planted size of Alpers trout is in the three to five pound range, though many are caught up to ten plus pounds. Stocking of Alpers' trout in Gull Lake has already begun this year, and this agreement will ensure additional stocking throughout next year.

Gull Lake Marina is operating under special use permit in the Inyo National Forest as an equal opportunity service provider.
