LANDING UPDATE!!! Even with the Rockcod closures, boats could still fish below Pigeon Point to the Marine Reserve which is New Years Island. It takes one hour and half to get to the fishing ground. The closure affects North of Pigeon Point to the Oregon border. Queen of Hearts is chartered this weekend. Next trip will be Monday October 8th. ULTRA LIGHT ROCKCOD FISHING!!! They have plenty of room on all boats except for Saturday. On Sunday they'll have the ULTRA LIGHT TACKLE TOURNAMENT on the QUEEN OF HEARTS but it's fully booked. ROCKCOD LIMITS & LINGS!!! QUEEN OF HEARTS on a 3/4 day trip with 20 anglers scored limits of Rockcod(200), 1 16lb Halibut, & 7 Lingcod(up to 13 lbs). RIPTIDE also got limits and 1 Lingcod for 15 anglers. NEW CAPTAIN PETE got 216 Rockfish, 7 Lings & 1 Cabezon for 32 anglers.
